The Portside Arts Fair is pleased to announce its 2024 prize winners. Carol Bawden, a gallery owner, was this year’s judge who chose the winning artists.
The 2-dimensional $500 winner was James Prince, of Traverse City, for his oil and watercolor paintings. The 3-dimensional $500 winner was Bill and Angela Kuhn, from Boyne City/Florida, for their work in stone. Honorable Mention ribbons and a free booth were awarded to Kendall Hornsby, of Petoskey, for her abstract paintings and Jasmine Petrie, from East Jordan, for her natural dyed woven textiles. The $150 college winner in the student category was Jay Fazio, of East Jordan, for her fiber work and the $150 high school winner was Cole Zellers for his metal jewelry. Congratulations to these wonderful Michigan artists.
